Nigerian comics have been on the rise. In the past few years a vibrant industry has began to emerge, resulting from an explosion of creativity that has been unprecedented.
Each taking on the task of producing and publishing local content.in no particular order, here is a list of seven mind blowing Nigerian comic publishers that you should most certainly check out.
COMIC REPUBLIC
Comic republics are one of the most recognizable names when it comes to African comics. Their mind blowing art coupled with the raw energy they exhume through their panels is testament of the love with which they do their work.A few of their titles include Visionary, Scion Immortal
YOUNEEK STUDIO
Last but certainly not least is Youneek studios. Youneek have done some wonderful work, featuring some exciting characters and lovely story telling. They also recently entered the animation game. They’ve been going pretty hard and the way things are going they clearly have no intention of slowing down.
EPOCH COMICS
First up is Epoch comics. Epoch have steadily risen in popularity over the years, slowly building their universe and impressing fans with their work.
SPOOF COMICS
Spoof are an animation studio also taking a crack at the comic game. Their love for their work has led them to accomplish some impressing feats, with titles like Jinx and Vantage spoof is definitely worth checking out.
The guys at Peda are arguably some of the baddest when it comes to Nigerian comics. Presenting a refreshing take on African history and culture , Peda comics continue to wow fans with their carefully constructed plots and characters.
MAD COMICSMAD! Comics is an upcoming comic company started by Hafeez Oluwa, who is also a prolific writer.
